I've been drawing the whole month of October. My hands are currently shaky as I type
(maybe because of arthritis or it's just itching to draw more)
I feel so alive today. The sunset was beautiful parallel the full moon rising. I am at peace.

A lot of things are coming up for the end months as well! I'm excited!

Mabubulaklak na Dila.
Ang Ink's 21st Annual Exhibit is on Nov. 16 - 30, 2012 at the Canvas  Gallery.
This year's theme is "sawikain" or idioms in Tagalog. It's my first time to join Ilustrador ng Kabataan's annual exhibition. So friends, it would be great if you could come during the opening night on the 16th!

Concept art for a mobile app.

Bleeding Heart.
It's also my first time to illustrate for a children's book! I'll update this some other time

And my pots have also come out from the kiln! Hurray!
I'm also back to being a pottery student. This time, at the UP Fine Arts.
Trying to learn how to make better pots!

Awesome year this is. God is good.

Pending reading list: Luka and the Fire of Life by Salman Rushdie + Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Easy reads for this month :)

Juan Tamad

Isinangguni niya
sa kataas-taasan
ang kanyang kahirapan

at ang tugon sa
kanya ay

maghintay.

---

Ano ang nangyari?
Sa isang iglap,
ang panyong tinago ng
majikero
ay napalitan ng kuneho,
na hindi niya
mapigilan sa pagdami.

Ano na't ang maikling katuwaan
ay napalitan ng delubyo?

Sino ngayon
ang naghahabol?

---

When we sliced the
corpses of men for
longer life, we have already
played God.

---
...and we who Claimed
are left to become inevitable dust and dirt
kissing the ground from losses.

Note: Sometimes, I don't remember what was going inside my head when I write.

Just some random stuff I write on my journal. I don't really have a specific theme for my 'poetry' nor follow the rules. I just write whatever comes to mind.

-----
SLE

The heat of the sun burns my face red
Pricking inside the flesh
Eating the core til I fall hard on my knees
and pray for dear life.

Fate should have burned me alive
And let me feel the pain
Than set me on a bed
Like a rotting piece of meat.

----
A calm breathing
Slowly
She pulls herself up
And came closer
Near
The rabbit hole

---

here we go

somewhere only we know
where alien winds
engulf our very soul

wings on our feet
let no footstep be heard
as we sneak out from sleep

and hearts gold,
a rich-colored life,
let this story shine.

---
Antera

The sprites took your breathe
Swift as the sun sets
And I, oblivious
Of such fate in their hands,
Decided to laugh.

Why in such dire circumstance
have I placed Humor?
When all have wept and bled?
Do not let grief disguise
For a lifetime.

The Emotion manifests itself
Seeping through crevices,

Filling every flesh and nerve and bone
Keeping the Soul alive
--
Acknowledge its presence
Do you know its true name?
She is (and) She is not
Still beautiful

--

Sometimes I feel too much
This kiss of life and death
I am weak. I am vulnerable
Ever changing
A supernova
Scattered all over the place
I am no one yet I am everywhere.
Infinite. I am strong.

New blog layout. A cleaner look imo.
Also changing my profiles in a bit.

and a self-indulgent post. Well, this is my personal blog.
I don't think I've ever posted a picture of myself upfront here. Probably some on the pottery wheel, my face down and what not but nothing really identifiable? I haven't even put my real name. I'm shy and also maybe slightly paranoid over some personal stuff. But I like people! Haha

{Edit: I removed my pictures here. I guess I do have a bit of paranoia in me. }

Moving on,,

I just recently joined Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan or InK. That is my entry illustration above :)

And here are some of my other works. Yay

That's it for now, Ciao!

Takatak Attack Exhibit at 10A Alabama St., QC.
Opening was held last Saturday, July 21, 2012. I braved that afternoon to get my taka submitted but didn't go to the opening that day. Instead, I went there on a less raining Sunday noon with two of my friends and had a hot cup of cocoa welcoming us.

Also, this is the first exhibit I've ever joined! Would you believe that? Milestone!! Hahaha
News: The takas will be at Alabama til Aug 13 and recently announced, that it will be at San Beda Museum from Aug 13 -31! So check it out if you have time.

Taka is a papier mache animal from Paete, Laguna.

 Quilted taka!
 Safari-themed!
 My own :)
 Lighting takas!
even flower takas! This one got a plant for a tail. Awesome works from different artists!

Here's a detail of my horses, Silence and Summer Islander (inspired by ships in ASoIaF. LOL)

Silence. Acrylic and white ink. Also inspired by indian henna designs & mandalas

Summer Islander. Acrylic. Inspired by aboriginal batik designs :)

My unfinished horses posing

WIP Note:
It has been raining for several days already. I'm currently cooking some ceramic works in the comfort of my own room whilst I sniff and cough up with the weather. And for a lack of a better theme, my artworks are rain-inspired. Haha. Will be posting them once they're fired in the kiln along with my other pieces! I've been saying this for the longest time, yes. I do hope you appreciate that ceramics takes a lot of time to make, and patience as well! Im also eager to see their final state ;) I also realized I havent had a 'proper' drawing/painting for a long long time. Will be going back to the drawing board and thinking chair this month and I hope something good comes out of it! Cheers~
